Hey everyone! I am Michelle Beck. I was born and raised in Ventura, California. Living with my parents and my one younger sister, I played water polo and swam competitively. Moved to Orem Utah and lived there for the past 13 years. My husband, Jordan and I have been married ten years and have three beautiful daughters; Elizabeth "Elle" (4), Scarlett and Hazel (1). We recently moved to Wylie to be closer to family and become part of the Wylie Way!
I gained an associate’s degree in California at Ventura Community College and finished a Bachelor of Fine Art with an emphasis in painting and drawing at Utah Valley University in 2010. When graduating, I was awarded Student of the Year in the painting department for the 2010 school year. I have been teaching art, K-9th, for the past 9 years. I love what I do so much that I recently earned a Master in Secondary Ed. this past December. Art, creativity and teaching has always been a passion. When there is time to paint, I use my life experiences to express how I find place when away from home and family. Some of my favorite moments in life were getting married, watching my girls grow up and meeting Starry Night from Vincent Van Gogh. I spent 7 years with my last school family and will forever miss my Lakeview students and friends. I have learned so much from Lakeview Academy and will forever keep them in my heart! Most importantly I have a passion for spreading appreciation and respect for art and art culture. I always strive to make the creation of art fun and enjoyable so students can grow to have the respect for the art world and to see how important it is for a well-rounded education. |
